Our practice
Our way of thinking
You should feel that you are in good hands
We have special patients. Normally, patients are people who are suffering from an illness or the consequences of an accident and therefore require medical treatment. We, on the other hand, are visited by women who are usually in perfect health; women - often accompanied by their partners, of course - who are looking forward to one of the most joyful events of their lives: the birth of their child.
Unfortunately, it is in the nature of things that we sometimes have to make unpleasant diagnoses. In these cases, it is important to us that patients feel that they are in the best possible hands. And they can. On the one hand, we are experts in our field - we know what we are doing and what we are diagnosing. On the other hand, we try to adapt to the emotional state of the women in the respective situation with the necessary empathy and provide them with the best possible advice.
Fortunately, the vast majority of findings are very good. We greatly appreciate this rare and fortunate situation for doctors and we are pleased to be able to discharge our patients into a carefree pregnancy.
We would be delighted to welcome you to our prenatal diagnostics practice to accompany you on what is probably one of the most beautiful stages of your life and to provide you with advice and support.
Here I would like to introduce myself briefly:
In 1992, I completed my medical studies at the Free University of Berlin and began my further training in gynaecology and obstetrics at the Charité (Mitte). My passion for obstetrics and prenatal diagnostics was quickly awakened in Prof Bollmann's team and continues unabated to this day.
1994 Doctorate (Dr med.) in Pharmacology at the Free University of Berlin under Prof Müller-Oerlinghausen.
In 1998 I became Specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics and subsequently specialised in obstetrics and prenatal diagnostics at the Charité. Since this time I have had the so-called. DEGUM Level II.
2001 Recognition of the additional title "Specialised obstetrics and perinatal medicine".
In 2001, I opened my practice for prenatal diagnostics in Berlin - Steglitz and practised clinical obstetrics at the DRK Klinikum "Parksanatorium Dahlem" in a leading position until 2011.
In addition to my work as a prenatal physician, I am also a trained Psychotherapist (Recognition and authorisation 2013).
I have published numerous scientific articles ( PUBLICATION LIST ) and still give regular lectures today. It is a matter of course for me to regularly take part in national and international congresses with my own contributions. This means that I am always up to date with the latest scientific developments and can advise you accordingly during your pregnancy!
I am a member of the following professional associations:
- German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM)
- International Society for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG)
